My “Batman: the Dark Knight” review in 700 characters or less

I loved the Dark Knight. It was fun, but it was also dark and difficult to watch. The film was experimental (for a comic book movie) that was a contrast to the big loud and also terrific Iron Man a couple of months ago.

    Kel and I went to see it last night. Loved it.
    The disappearing pencil - what an opener.



    And of course I was the only guy to laugh when all the mob bosses are yelling and the transcriber in the court room threw up his hands in dismay. :-) I have so been there LOL.

    Hehe! I was surprised at just how many people laughed at the Joker's antics at all the most inappropriate moments. It's testament to Ledger's acting ability that he was able to elicit laughs between brutal homicides.

    I dare you to go back in the cinema, wait for an appropriate scene and when everyone laughs say "That's NOT funny, a man died, don't you people have SOULS, I mean really, laughing at a man dying because he had a pencil pushed through his head.... actually that is kinda funny, sorry, please go on..."

    Doing that would fly in the face of the Joker's shtick though, "Why so serious?"


    At that point I'd be the only one not getting the joke. And I really don't want to cross the Joker - he might hurt my family.
